How Derma Pod Treatment Works

Microdermabrasion

The fearless facelift starts with microdermabrasion, which allows the lights to penetrate the tissue more effectively. Microdermabrasion removes up to 30 percent of the dermis, instantly removing your dead skin cells, while reducing fine lines, wrinkles and uneven pigmentation.

Phototherapy

Phototherapy can utilize blue, red and green light sources for different treating different skin problems.

Blue light therapy treats acne blemishes by purifying the skin and soothing the sebaceous glands. This acne treatment is suitable for patients of all ages and skin types

Green light therapy treats sun damage and redness, acting directly on the melanocytes and hyperpigmentation. It decreases melanin production by up to 60 percent, while breaking down melanin deposits beneath the skin.

Red light provides the strongest phototherapy mode. It works by increasing collagen production, stimulating circulation and accelerating the healing process. You can see visible results in a single treatment session.

Microcurrent

Can it give you facelift results?

The Derma Pod can't give you the same results as face lift with Dr. Robbins. But it can tighten and tone your skin for a more youthful appearance.

How often should I come in for Derma Pod treatment?

Some of our patients come in bi-weekly and others come on a monthly basis. Because your skin is unique, and turns over at a different rate, our aesthetician will create a customized package to address your needs.

How is LED phototherapy different from IPL?

IPL is a stronger treatment that can remove significantly more of unwanted pigmentation. It feels different, both before and after treatment. LED phototherapy is less intense, and better for patients with milder forms of acne and hyperpigmentation. Because it applies microcurrent technology, it's also better for lifting and tightening the skin.
