Vaginoplasty Des Moines

Vaginal rejuvenation is a term that encompasses a variety of procedures, both surgical and non-surgical. Some of the procedures under the broad spectrum of vaginal rejuvenation include vaginoplasty, labiaplasty, ThermaVi, and PRP vaginal rejuvenation.

Vaginoplasty

Vaginoplasty is a surgical procedure that tightens the inner vaginal canal. Many women opt for this procedure after childbirth, as the vaginal muscles and tissues can become loose and/or stretched out after giving birth.

You will be administered local or IV sedation prior to this procedure.Typically, this procedure takes about an hour; however, the exact duration of a vaginoplasty will depend on the amount of tissue that is removed. It is important to remember that every vaginoplasty is different for each patient.

Typically, you will be able to return to work about a week after your procedure. It is advised that you do not do any heavy lifting for at least four weeks after the surgery. Generally, most women fully heal within six to eight weeks and can resume their normal daily activities then.

Labiaplasty

A labiaplasty is a surgical procedure that is performed to reduce the size of the labia minora so they don’t hang below the labia majora. This procedure can also be performed to fix asymmetrical vaginal lips so they don’t pull or tug during sexual intercourse and other activities.

There are two main surgical techniques for a labiaplasty: the wedge technique and the trim technique. During your personalized consultation with Dr. Robbins, he will discuss the best technique for your specific needs.

Typically, a labiaplasty is performed as an outpatient procedure. Although individual healing times depend on the extent of the procedure, most people can return to work one to two weeks after their surgery. Swelling should go down four to six weeks after the procedure; however, it may take up to six months to see the final results.

ThermaVi

ThermaVi is a non-surgical procedure that uses radio frequency technology to increase natural moisture in the vagina, increase sensation, and can even reduce urinary leakage. ThermaVi can also tighten the labia both internally externally, and is a popular treatment for women who have given birth and/or have gone through menopause.

Each ThermaVi session takes about thirty minutes to complete. Typically, patients come in for three treatments, with each treatment being four weeks apart. After your ThermaVi treatment, you will be able to resume your normal daily activities with no downtime.

PRP Vaginal Rejuvenation

PRP vaginal rejuvenation is a non-surgical treatment that involves injecting the body’s own platelets into the vaginal area in order to revitalize the vagina. This procedure is popular among women who have difficulty having orgasms, experience pain during intercourse, and have vaginal dryness.

There is no downtime after getting this treatment; you can go back to your normal routine, including intercourse, after PRP vaginal rejuvenation.

Cost

Each surgical and non-surgical vaginal rejuvenation procedure’s cost will depend on the amount of tissue removed, the time the procedure takes, and/or the amount of product used. Be sure to ask about the cost of the procedure(s) you are interested in during your personalized consultation with Dr. Robbins.
