Rhinoplasty, more commonly referred to as Nose Surgery or a “Nose Job,” is a cosmetic surgery procedure that is performed to improve the appearance of the nose. Many people are unhappy with the way their nose look, whether because of a bump or indentation in the bridge of the nose, or due to the upturned or down-turned nature of the tip of the nose, or the width of the nose…there are a variety of complaints we hear from people about the appearance of their nose. Sometimes the nose appearance is altered due to a trauma or injury and sometimes rhinoplasty may be used to correct functional issues inside the nose as well as aesthetic issues.

Rhinoplasty is typically performed using either an open or closed technique. In an open rhinoplasty the incision is made outside of the nose, while in a closed technique the incisions are all made inside of the nose. The technique used just depends on what specific issues are being addressed.
