What Is Breast Augmentation Like?
At the start of breast augmentation surgery, general anesthesia is administered to ensure patient comfort. Breast augmentation surgery usually only takes one to two hours to perform, and patients can return home soon after they have surgery that same day. Patients are required to have an assigned ‘caretaker’ (family member, friend etc.) for the first 24 hours after surgery as they will not be able to drive themselves following the surgery and it is in best practice they have someone to help assist them as needed.
What Is Recovery Like After Breast Augmentation?
6 to 8 weeks is the typical time needed for recuperation after breast augmentation. If issues emerge, such as an infection or a leaking implant, the process could be prolonged.
It is vital that you follow Dr. Robbins’s orders to reduce the likelihood of these complications following breast augmentation surgery. It will be necessary to wear a supportive bra without underwire for a time, and incision sites should be cared for as directed.
How Much Does Breast Augmentation Cost?
