Stacy Murphy, PA-C
Certified Physician Associate
Stacy is a state-licensed Physician Associate (PA) and board-certified by the National Commission on Certification of Physician Associates. She earned her Master of Physician Assistant Studies from Des Moines University after receiving her Bachelors of Arts degree from the University of Iowa. She has over 11 years of both surgical and clinical experience as a Physician Assistant. She is a member of the American Academy of Physician Associates.
Stacy provides care and education for patients during consultations, pre-op visits, assisting in the operating room and follow-up visits. Outside of the practice, Stacy enjoys spending time with her family and golfing.
Chasity Vajgrt, RN, BSN
Surgical Nurse
Clinical Care Coordinator
Chasity is a skilled and compassionate Registered Nurse at Des Moines Plastic Surgery™, with over 10 years of experience in both surgical and clinical environments. She earned her RN certification from Mercy College of Health Sciences and her Bachelor of Science in Nursing from Chamberlain University. Chasity holds active certifications in Basic Life Support (BLS) and Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS), ensuring top-tier patient safety and care during every procedure.
Chasity has a deep passion for helping others feel confident and comfortable throughout their aesthetic journey. She thrives in the operating room and is known for her calming presence and attention to detail.
When she’s not assisting in surgeries, Chasity enjoys family time, supporting her son at sporting events, running, and cheering for the Iowa State Cyclones.
Alexis Loyd, RN, BSN
Surgical Nurse
Clinical Care Coordinator
Alexis is a dedicated Registered Nurse at Des Moines Plastic Surgery™, bringing valuable operating room experience and a passion for patient-centered care. She earned her nursing degree from Grand View University and plays an essential role in supporting patients throughout their entire surgical journey—from the initial consultation to recovery and follow-up visits.
Known for her approachable personality and attention to detail, Alexis is committed to making every patient feel supported and informed. Her goal is to help each guest have a smooth, confident, and positive experience at DMPS.
Outside the clinic, Alexis enjoys spending time with her two dogs, indulging in pasta, cheering on her favorite hockey teams, and expanding her impressive collection of Funko Pop! figures.
Kelsey Murphy, RN
Patient Care Coordinator
Kelsey is a Patient Care Coordinator and Registered Nurse at Des Moines Plastic Surgery™, bringing over 15 years of diverse nursing experience to the team. With a clinical background in emergency medicine, women’s health, and both pre- and post-operative care, Kelsey offers a compassionate, knowledgeable, and steady presence to every patient she works with.
Certified in Basic Life Support (BLS) and Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS), Kelsey ensures each guest receives the highest level of safety and care throughout their aesthetic journey at our West Des Moines cosmetic surgery center.
Outside of work, Kelsey enjoys traveling, cheering on her favorite baseball team at games with her husband, and spending quality time with her family—especially watching her kids play sports.
Amy Stevens
Practice Manager
Amy, RN, BHA serves as Nurse Manager at Des Moines Plastic Surgery, where she brings over 13 years of clinical experience and a strong background in healthcare leadership and operations. As a Registered Nurse with a Bachelor’s degree in Healthcare Administration, she blends clinical excellence with strategic management to support a high-performing, patient-centered practice.
With experience spanning hospital-based care, the operating room, maternity services and outpatient clinic leadership, Amy provides comprehensive oversight of practice operations while maintaining the highest standards of safety, quality, and patient experience. Her leadership focuses on optimizing workflows, supporting regulatory compliance, and ensuring seamless coordination across teams to deliver consistent, elevated care.

Director
Brenda is a graduate of the University of Nebraska, holding a bachelor’s degree in Business Administration with a minor in Management of Information Systems. As the Director of Des Moines Plastic Surgery™ and Coachlight Clinic & Spa, Brenda oversees the daily operations, financial management, human resources, and marketing for both businesses.
With a strong background in business leadership and operational strategy, Brenda plays a critical role in ensuring our practice delivers a seamless and high-quality experience for every patient. Her leadership supports the ongoing growth and reputation of Des Moines Plastic Surgery as a premier destination for cosmetic surgery and aesthetic services in Iowa.
Tara Mikus
Marketing Specialist
Tara is the Marketing Specialist for Coachlight Clinic & Spa and Des Moines Plastic Surgery™, where she blends creativity, strategy, and data to help tell the Des Moines Plastic Surgery story across digital and community platforms. She is a graduate of the University of Nebraska – Lincoln with a bachelor’s degree in science and minor in business. She enjoys building meaningful connections through marketing and bringing ideas to life in ways that feel both engaging and authentic.
Tara has a passion for creating thoughtful, on-brand content across websites, email, social media, and more. Known for being proactive and detail-oriented, she thrives in a fast-paced environment and loves collaborating with others to support the overall vision of the practice.
Outside of work, Tara loves traveling, trying new restaurants, and spending time with her golden retriever, Marlin.

With over two decades of experience in the hospitality industry, Sandra has built a built a career and reputation rooted in genuine connection, heartfelt service, and empathetic leadership. Now part of the team at Des Moines Plastic Surgery, she brings that same warm, engaging presence to a new field she’s passionate about—helping people feel confident, cared for, and at their best.
Known for being a reliable team player who’s always ready to help her coworkers and keep the day running smoothly, as well as make others feel instantly comfortable, she creates a friendly, positive environment for every patient who walks through our doors.
When she’s not welcoming patients at the front desk, she loves spending her time with her daughter and boyfriend, traveling to new places, cooking, playing cards with family, and cheering on the Green Bay Packers, Iowa Hawkeyes, and Chicago Cubs.
