Microneedling is a minimally invasive, chemical-free procedure designed to stimulate collagen production. A hand-controlled device with tiny needles punctures the outer layer of skin to create controlled micro-trauma. This triggers the body to create new collagen and elastin. The procedure is very safe in any skin type and has minimal downtime. Following treatment the skin will be slightly pink and feel as though you have a mild sunburn. Most patients are completely recovered in 24-72 hours but collagen production from the procedure takes 6-8 weeks.

Microneedling helps improve fine lines and wrinkles, decreases pore size, and reduces scars and stretch marks. Generally, patients will notice improvement in basic skin problems after 3-6 treatments. More severe skin issues such as extensive sun damage, deep wrinkles, or acne scarring will need 6 or more treatments or we may recommend another type of treatment.

For optimal results, treatments should be spaced 2-4 weeks apart. Platelet-rich plasma can be added to this treatment to further stimulate collage production and expedite healing. When using platelet-rich plasma, we call this the PRP Facial Treatment.
